Pediatric services

The providers at Novant Health Cotswold Medical Clinic see patients of every age starting just days after birth. Our board-certified doctors and midlevel providers specialize in family medicine. They deliver all of the services you would receive at a pediatrician's office including both sick-child and well-child care.

Well-child visits

Routine medical care is key to monitoring the health and development of your child. Typically, your child will see a provider for checkups at the following ages:

  • 1 week
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 24 months
  • Annually beginning at age 3

Well-child visits include checks of growth and development, and the administration of any needed vaccines (see below).

Sick-child visits

If your child is sick or injured, you will be able to see a provider at Novant Health Cotswold Medical Clinic quickly. We reserve same-day and next-day appointments for sick or injured patients. And, should you ever have a medical need after-hours, a call to our office will let you reach our triage team who will advise you whether to seek immediate care and can contact your child's provider if needed.

We care for children with common illnesses including colds, sore throats, earaches and the flu, as well as sports injuries including concussions and chronic conditions including asthma.

School, sports and camp physicals

If your child needs a physical before attending school or camp, or taking part in a sport, we can help! Our providers can often complete needed school, camp or sports physical forms during your child's annual well-child exam. If you have received a form to have completed, bring it with you to your child's appointment; we do not have access to the forms in our office, so you must provide the form you need completed.

Vaccines are some of the most powerful tools available for protecting your child from serious illness. Our office follows the American Academy of Pediatrics' vaccine schedule:
